EddyLine Anglers is a fly fishing service on the Arkansas River near Salida and Buena Vista. Come out for a fly fishing float trip. As many anglers know, fish love to hang out in eddies and wait for the main current to bring the food to them. One of the huge advantages of fishing from a raft is that it lets you really work eddy lines hard and even gets you to eddy lines that are otherwise inaccessible.

Season: Mid-March through mid-May is prime fishing season. Runoff or High water is from mid-May to late-June the water is too high for good fishing. The Arkansas River settles down again starting in Late-June through Fall is addition prime fishing.

Species: Brown Trout is the predominate species, along with Rainbow Trout. So trout, trout and more trout! The Rocky Mountains are known as Trout Country.

Half Day Trips are 4 hours: 1 person $275; 2 people $300

Full Day Trips are 8 hours: 1 person $375; 2 people $400.

Browns Canyon is a Full Day: 1 person $400; 2 people $425.

All our trips include: 6 free flies (we know how to catch the big one), raft, fishing guide and lunch for full day trips.

What you should bring:

A fishing license.

Comfortable clothing (be prepared for warm or cool weather) sunglasses, sun screen, water & snack.

Fishing gear: waders, rod, flies, lines, and weights (Rentals rods available at shop.)
