Today, Old Town Square invites you to browse shops filled with Old West charm and rare antiques. Visit the Grand Imperial Hotel, built in 1882 - a prefect example of Victorian architecture. During the winter ski Silverton Mountain's advanced and expert ski and snow board resort. Be sure to make reservations for guided ski season or visit during the unguided season. With a base elevation at 10,400' and a peak elevation at 12,300', Silverton is some of Colorado's best extreme skiing. For a less intense ski, visit Kendall Mountain Recreation Area known as "The Cheapest Ski area in the West." During the summer, take a ride on the "highest summer scenic chair life in North America." For those who love cheap thrills, take a trip down the "Hard Core" biking trail.
